Campbellians Hockey Club was crowned Senior One Champions last night after defeating Queens 1stXI at the Dub. The Club has gained automatic promotion to the Premier League for the 2016/17 Season for the first time in theri short history.
Following an adgy start to the match with Queens pressing hard, Ashleigh Brown ran through the mid-field to score an impressive individual goal on the stroke of half time. After the break Joel Easlea scored a penalty corner, and Craig Mack scored from open play within 10 mins of the restart, thereby giving a great cushion to defen. Queens scored a consolation goal in the last quarter, with Campbellians holding out to win a much deserved vistory.
