Famously recognised by Guinness World Records as the youngest ever rugby league international, Gavin took a moment to share his proud achievement with his family during a visit to Campbell College this summer. Stepping back onto the campus where his sporting journey began, the former international fullback visited the College's OC Sporting Greats honours boards to view the entry commemorating his debut for Ireland against Moldova in 1995 at just 17 years and 229 days old.
We are very proud of all our OC Sporting Greats and were delighted to welcome Gavin and his family to the College. Thanks to the Old Campbellian Society for researching and donating the boards, which serve as a wonderful reminder of the many and varied sporting achievements of our Old Campbellian community, and are an inspiration to current and future generations.
