After leaving Campbell College in 1976, I settled in Scotland with my wife Lynn Maxwell, from Strathern School who I met in 1977, and joined Lothian and Borders police, becoming the fifth generation of my family to join the police service. Previous family members were in the Royal Irish Constabulary and Royal Ulster Constabulary. We lived in Scotland until 2016 and returned to Northern Ireland to help care for Lynn's dad who had developed dementia. We are now returning to Scotland and on beginning to pack up the house, I came across these photos. I thought I should add them to the gallery on the Old Campbellian website as I thought others would appreciate the walk down memory lane.
