Dear OC,
I hope this finds you well.
Please forgive this rather short-notice request, but we are seeking some assistance with a Careers event in Campbell College on Tuesday 31st January 3.15pm – 8.45pm.
Our Year 12 (Fifth Form) ‘Assessment Centre’ is run as a mock recruitment process, giving boys an insight into the process of applications, aptitude tests, group assessment tasks and finally, interviews.
We are seeking volunteer ‘Business Advisers’ to help provide the boys with both training and feedback.
The event is facilitated by an outside organisation, Eye4Education, who will provide a briefing and full instructions as well as all materials. There will be no need for any preparation before the event.
The briefing for Business Advisers begins at 3.30pm, but refreshments will be available from 3pm. The event itself starts at 4pm and volunteers will work with a small group of boys in helping them develop their application forms. Volunteers will also evaluate pupils’ performance on a group assessment task, and there will be a number of short mock interviews too. Dinner will be provided in College.
We would be extremely grateful if any OCs would be able to give of their time and expertise to help the boys in this way.
If you feel that you are able to assist, or require any further information or details, please email careersccb@gmail.com .
Kindest regards,
Sarah Coetzee
