Branch News
The OC Irish Branch Dinner, resurrected after a gap of several years and was held at Castle Dargan, Co. Sligo.  OCs, spouses and guests hailed from Sligo, Leitrim, Dublin, Dundalk, Belfast, Fermanagh, from Portora Royal and London.

Central to the evening was an OC “double act” of “craic agus ceol” by Paul, Lord Bew (5084) and renowned pianist, Philip Hammond (5204 ) on the theme of Cabin Hill and Campbell’s connection with 1798.  Great music, composed by the 18th century blind Irish harpist, O’Carolan, was played by Philip, coupled with an intriguing and enjoyable talk by Paul.

This set the scene for superb food, plenty of chat and catching up among OCs and friends.  It proved to be a very enjoyable evening, with positive feedback and a commitment to make sure the OC Ireland Branch meets sooner next time, hopefully this time next year.
