The OC Ball 2022 - Great To Be back

The OC Ball Was Back For 2022!

It was great that the 2022 Ball was back in the diary and it was lauded a huge success by both OCs, Parents & Guests.

The OC Ball took place on Frdiay the 28th of October and had a lovely Autumnal feel to it, courtesy of Blue Moon Events. Stephen Watters entertanied everyone during the Reception Drinks in the Dining Hall where Diners mingled with a glass of fizz. Following the Welcome Speech by the Society President, Michael McAllister (7444), everyone (slowly) followed the College Pipe Major & Drum Major and the Band Master Grahame Harris (10321) in a relatively orderly fashion into the Central Hall to their various tables. Posh Nosh once again did a fine job with the catering and Emily Wilson entertained the Diners to much applause on her Harp. The Lively Lads then got things up and moving on the dance floor to great acclaim!

During the meal a silent collection was taken for The Henry James Campbell Bursary raising £630.00 for this excellent scheme enabling a young man to join the College who otherwise would not attend the school from Year 8 to Year 14.

A "brilliant night" was had and a big thank you to everyone for making the effort to attend and for supporting the Society...a number of tables have already been confirmed for 2023.

Please note that without the financial support from our Sponsors the event would not be able to take place in its current format. Please support them as and when you get a chance:

Diversity NI – Chris & Paolina Hawthorne, Facewear Science -  Dermot & Susan Parker, Haldane Fisher – David Haldane, MAD - Minprint – Jamie & Anna McMinnis, Nelson Radiology – Myles and Lousie Nelson and Jody Waterworth at Pier 36 for the Licensing Application.

Finally, thank you to the Headmaster for the use of the College & facilities, Wayne Harper and his Facilities Team  & the College Pipe Band
