January 23rd marks the anniversary of the death of our founder, Henry James Campbell. A linen merchant and a philanthropist, Campbell’s legacy has impacted thousands of individuals who have been educated at Campbell College since it opened its doors in 1894 - each creating their own legacy across the globe.

Legacy Week is the College’s tribute to Henry James Campbell and will involve events, stories and more as we remember and reflect on the history and heritage created by his legacy.

Monday 23rd January:

Members of the Campbell College Pipes & Drums will be making an annual visit to pay their respects on behalf of the College.

Tuesday 24th January:

12:00-14:00 - Lunch and Talk at the Linen Hall Library.

To mark a new partnership with the Linen Hall Library we are delighted to be holding a small lunch-time event to offer the chance for members of our Campbell community to hear more about the collections held at the Library and our plans to work together. There will also be the opportunity to view the College Archive Website.

The Men Behind the Glass Exhibition will also be on display at the Library from 10th January – 27th January.

This is a free event to members of the website and registration is required - visit the events page to register.  Places are limited.

Wednesday 25th January:

15:45-17:00 - Archive Open Event at Campbell College

This event offers our community the chance to view some interesting items from the archive and have a sneak preview of the new College Archive Website.

This is a free event and registration is required - visit the events page to register.

Thursday 26th January:

College Archive Website goes live

The College has started the process of digitising its archives and whilst this will take several years the new College Archive Website will go live in January - sharing with the community all the stories as we digitise them.  You will be able to access our archives via the main College website or directly on the College Community Hub and the Old Campbellian website.
