Dear OC

The latest edition of The Old Campbellian Magazine is now in the postal system and I hope that you enjoy it. Thank you to everyone who contributed to it, be it through an Article, Advertisement or Donation, thank you. The Magazine remains our greatest link with you, as it has been for many years now. Please do consider submitting an Article or an item for the News Section for inclusion next year to oldcampellianeditor@gmail.com.

Hopefully you regularly look at the website for updates on what is going on within the Society and the College. I would encourage any OCs who have not yet registered on the website to do so and become involved.  We cannot communicate with you if we do not know where you live or if you haven’t registered.  It is primarily through this medium that we can inform you of News & Events.

In 2022 we will be celebrating our 120th Anniversary with a special Centivintennial Old Campbellian Annual Dinner. This will be held in the College on Friday 11th February 2022. This is a great opportunity to meet up with your year group, peers, team mates and meet with old friends. Tickets / tables can be booked on the Old Campbellian website, tickets cost £45 per head. A number of Reunions are planned: a 25th Anniversary Reunion for the Leavers of 1997, a 40th Anniversary Leavers of 1982, a 50th Anniversary for the Leavers of 1972, a 60th Anniversary for the Leavers of 1962 and a 50th for those Leavers of Cabin Hill! The Dinner will be compliant with any applicable Covid Restrictions/Regulations at that time.

If you are intending to make a purchase from the OC Shop please do so by Friday the 17th in order that it can be posted in time for Christmas. If you wish to collect your purchase(s) from the College please contact the Society Office to do so.

It is hoped and planned that a number of Events take place in 2022 to mark our 120th Centivintennial Anniversary, please keep an eye on the Events Section on the website to see what is happening and when. I hope to see many of you through the course of the year at our different Events, whether as a guest or a volunteer.

As part of the 120th Anniversary the Society has commissioned an OC Jacket that will be available in the New Year from Harris Tartan (Grahame Harris 10321). Please register your interest via email: ocjacket@gmail.com - further details are in the Old Campbellian magazine.

My thanks must go to those who regularly Advertise, attend Events or make a Donation to Magazine, without their generosity we could not function as we do.  Do not underestimate the significance or gratitude that even the smallest donation or purchase in the online shop makes.

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and New Year, in whatever way you are able to celebrate it.  Stay safe and well.

Dermot Parker (7467)

Chairman

The OC Society
