It is with profound sadness that we inform you that Paddy Hughes passed away peacefully at home on 27th August.
Sean Patrick (Paddy) Hughes started CCB in April 1956 joining Alden's House. The son of Wing Commander Old Campbellian FD Hughes DSO DFC AFC and brother of OC Michael Hughes. He was a Scholar and a member of the Shooting Team between 1958 and 1960. He won a Cadetship and joined the RAF completing training at RAF Cranwell serving between 1961 and 1968. Records indicate that he was a Ski Champion with the RAF.
He was a documentary and television commercial filmmaker winning many international awards and prizes for the films that he made. He was also the author of a number of children's books.
His links to London Irish are perhaps his greatest legacy, as he was the driving force behind the clubs mini-rugby development.
