The CCB Racing team headed off on Thursday 17 October to compete in the Greenpower Education Trust Formula 24 challenge at Silverstone. They had been given special dispensation to race under the number 125 in recognition of the school anniversary. Having never even before attempted to qualify, to do so on their first attempt bears credit to their hard work and enthusiasm, led by the master in charge, Mr Peter Campbell.

To recognise these efforts The Old Campbellian Society agreed to provide a ‘team kit’ and organised for Mr Jim McWhirter of JMW Racing to come in and give the boys an insight into his 50 years of motor racing experience. JMW Racing compete in the Le Mans series and have this year been racing with both The OC Society logo and the school crest in recognition of the 125th Anniversary.

Following the presentation, Jim presented each team member with their own team jacket and cap.

Team CCB Racing finished joint 10th in the world! A huge congratulations to everyone involved, a truly marvellous result especially for a team that entered the Greenpower Education Trust F24 Challenge for the first time this year!
