On Friday, 19th October 2018, The Old Campbellian Society Ireland Branch will host a Dinner at Templehouse, Co. Sligo. ( www.TempleHouse.ie ). This is the first Irish Branch Reunion/ Dinner for a number of years and is open to OCs, spouses, partners and friends.
Templehouse is a fine country house, dating back to the Knights Templar; and has been in the Percival family for quite a few centuries. I have entertained parties here over the years and have every confidence you will enjoy the excellent food and relaxing grandeur of one of Ireland’s most endearing family-owned, historic country estates, especially since we will have the pleasure of the company of internationally renowned pianist, Philip Hammond (5204).
On Saturday, recreational activities will be available for OCs, family and friends, that will/may include: golf at County Sligo Championship Links, organised by William Cooper (5184); hill-walking, in the Dartry Mountains; and horse-riding along the Wild Atlantic Way.
The Dinner comes at a time when Campbell prepares to celebrate its 125th Anniversary in 2019; and it is hoped that we will see a range of celebratory events across Ireland. Therefore, it will be good to have OCs who live, or are active, in Ireland who might help the school celebrate across Ireland in 2019 and “spread the word” about what Campbell has to offer, especially in regard to its thriving international Boarding Department.
The Dinner costs €60/£55 (Ticket prices are in Pounds. You can pay in either Euros or Pounds when you purchase your ticket(s) through PayPal) per person and the Dress is Jacket and Tie. Special accommodation rates are available at The Clayton Hotel, Sligo and coach transport can be provided, subject to numbers, from Dublin and Belfast.
Come, join us on Friday, 19th October 2018 as we begin preparations to celebrate Campbell’s 125th Anniversary!
Please bear in mind, Templehouse has a limit to the number of dining guests that it can host; so please, book early to avoid disappointment.
