Jengana Association presents: A Fundraising Gala Dinner (Saturday, 3rd March 2018)

OC Jack Cooke (10567) had the following memory to share with us:

"I started to feel a bit down about half way through the trip, it was after one of our days building in the slums, so one of the Campbell College teachers pulled me aside and had a chat with me.

I was at the stage that a lot of people get to on the trip where they start to feel a bit helpless, that no matter how much work you are able to do the problems are so massive that you just aren’t able to make a dent.

What he said next put everything in perspective and will stay with me forever, “trying to change the world is almost impossible, but it’s very easy to change the world for one person”.

It helps you to realise what exactly it is that you’re doing, that even though you might not be able to make a difference for everyone, what you do with Jengana really does make life changing difference for a lot of people."

Everyone welcome in support of this charity: if you are interested in tickets please let Alumni Relations know so she can pass your details on: Suzy McIlveen smcilveen@campbellcollege.co.uk

With thanks.
