1st XI Squad with the Stormont Pavilion and Hockey Arena backdrop, at Campbell College - HOME OF THE CAMPBELLIANS HOCKEY CLUB

Officially opened in March 2006 by members of the 1988 GB Olympic Gold Medal winning squad, the arena provides two state of the art "Tarket "Sand Dressed artificial surfaces.

The Pavilion has eight changing rooms with interlinking shower units and two stand alone changing rooms/showers for officials.

Nestling below the Craigantlet escarpment and nearby Parliament Buildings, the facility is superb.

OC Team 2015

Having started with just 18 in 2006, the Campbellians Hockey Club now has over 60 members.

The Campbellians 1st XI were crowned Senior One champions in the 2015-16 season, gaining promotion to the Ulster Premier League for 2016-17 season. This was a fantastic achivement for the club, coinciding with the clubs 10th anniversary.

In the 2016-17 Season the club also welcomed our new 1stXI coach, Mark Burns. Mark played over 100 times for Ireland and was a member of the GB training squad in the late 80'S. Along with international experience Mark was also a member of Cookstown and Holwood 87 teams, lifting every major senior title.

The 1stX1 plays in the Pemier League; and the 2ndX1 in Junior League 4.

This allows the club to provide hockey for players of almost all abilities  -  from the intensity of Premier League, to the high standards of Junior 4.

Campbellians is an "Open Club"  -  members must not necessarily have any link with the school. Since "open" status was initiated two seasons ago, the number of "non Campbell" players has risen well into double figures, and the club welcomes new members from all areas.

The club also welcomes and encourages current CCB school boys who are 15 years old and over to join the club and benifit from training with and playing against senior competition.

The Campbellians Club is lucky to be able to provide excellent Indoor and Outdoor training facilities.

Indoor Training and Indoor Hockey takes place on Tuesday nights (during school termtime) from 8pm to 9pm in the schools main sports hall. The indoor Swimming Pool (in the same complex) is also available for players recovering from injury, or simply to exercise.

Outdoor Training takes place on Thursdays (throughout the season) from 7.30pm to 9pm. We use the brand new Olympic standard floodlit astro facilities at nearby Strathearn school for outdoor training.
