Archive Materials Wanted

The Archive would be delighted to hear from anyone who might wish to contribute to its growing resources. Photographs or documentary materials, of a general or individual nature, would be much appreciated. These could relate to time spent at the school itself, or to the subsequent lives and careers of Old Campbellians. All material received will be properly acknowledged.

Do you have any cine film of Campbell or Campbellians?

BBC Northern Ireland would like to know if anyone in the OC Society would be interested in contributing to the series called 'Super 8 Stories' They are looking for home movies, cine films in any format (i.e. super 8, standard 8 and 16mm). These will be amateur films made in the era of cine, and don't have to be expertly filmed but they do have to be in colour.

They are essentially looking for family films, films which show your area, films that mark an important event for a community or in a person's life. Previous films have covered everything from Family Weddings, the First Package Holidays, the NW 200 and a Northern Irish family growing up in Japan .

They open to whatever is given in to them and would really like to hear from anyone who has cine or who might be able to put them in touch with someone with films. The web address www.bbc.co.uk/ni/super8stories below provides more information on the previous two series. Contact at the BBC - Jenny Waugh (Assistant Producer - Super 8 Stories – 028 9033 8819)
